The guitar clinic included an interesting Q&A session followed by a meet & greet.

DJ J Spin Wins Sam Ash Summer DJ Battle

DJ J Spin was the winner of the Summer DJ Battle 2007 at Sam Ash Puente Hills in City of Industry on August 29. His first place performance earned him a Serato Scratch Live package from Rane and lots of other prizes from Monster Cable, Ultrasone, Shure and Odyssey.

DJ Lester D took home a pair of EV Force i25 dual 15" speakers as runner-up courtesy of Electro-Voice. A lucky member of the audience walked away with a new mini-KP Kaoss Pad thanks to Korg.

The event was hosted by Andrew Barajas and organized by Jason Herrera. Guest DJ performers included the legendary DJ Tony G, DJ Fat Box (Coolio) and DJ Shortee.

Piggy D

Piggy D visited the Torrance, Ontario Mills and Canoga Park Sam Ash stores recently and gave a great clinic on how he used the portable ZOOM H4 recorder to capture song ideas for his debut solo album, The Evacuation Plan.
